We are currently accepting resumes for the following:

Farmer-Florist
34 - 38 hours/week (NOT SEASONAL, we are looking for a long-term team member)
$18/hr, but negotiable with experience.

The Farmer-Florist's responsibilities include both retail + flower farm tasks: 

Shop Responsibilities
Daily fulfillment of orders, keeping the retail cooler stocked, processing and pruning flowers, assisting in wedding preparations and deliveries/set up, and arranging marketable bouquets in the Green Bee Floral Co. signature style. The Farmer-Florist should be able to work independently, but also take direction from the Owner-Operator(s) where needed. 

Flower Farm Responsibilities (1-2 shifts/week):
Planting, weeding, netting and watering the flower farm, among other farm related tasks like digging and dividing dahlia tubers, planting tulips, presprouting corms, etc. The Farmer-Florist will also pick flowers and process at the farm cooler. The Farmer-Florist should be able to work independently, but also take direction from the Owner-Operator(s) where needed.

Applicants should:
- be able to lift 40lbs
- have a valid Ontario G Driver's License and own transportation 
- have neat handwriting/penmanship
- be available to work most Saturdays
- have basic computer skills
- be comfortable making + answering phone calls
- work well under pressure
- be comfortable working independently, outdoors for 6-7 hours in summer heat and/or rain
- love flowers and nature with an interest in farming

Experience/certifications in floral design is an asset, however we are willing to train the right candidate.
